I have the honour to forward copy of two lesters
dated oth. January and 3rd. July, from Mr. E. . Wood, Assistant Engineer in the Public Works Department, and to recommend that a gratuity of £50 should be paid to Mr. Wood for overtime work con- -sequent upon the instructions given to Ir. H. G. C. Fisher to devote his whole time to the completion of the Law Courts Accounts.

was £390 per annum plus £40 duty pay. Since then he has been paid at the rate of £400 per annum plus £40 duty pay. He leaves Govern- -ment Service in order to join a private firm at the end of this
month.
